AH LIAN AH YOU! LOOOOL!
After days of not going out, we decided to catch a movie :)
It was a way bigger group, this time with the guys as well.
And for the second time, we got reprimanded for our noise levels. In McD this time. Okay, it wasn't as bad as Sarah's 16th in US Pizza where the mall security guard actually came to the premises and had to blow his whistle to calm us down. Now THAT was hilarious!
This time, one of the managers (i think?) working at McD just came and told us to keep our voices down. And according to ChaoWee, some indian lady at the corner kept giving us dirty looks whenever we laughed. If I had chopsticks, I'd poke her eyes -_-
So anyways, we watched Sherlock Holmes today. As usual we missed the beginning, but then again nothing important happens in the beginning anyways so to everyone out there:
If you ever think you're miss the first 15 mins of a movie, don't fret. You won't be losing out on anything :D
So yeah, coming back. For those who have read The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, I'm sure you'd agree with me that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle portrayed Holmes as a sophisticated, far-sighted, observant beast of a man. Well, in the movie, he's still far-sighted and helluva observant but somehow director Guy Ritchie and producer Joel Silver decided to be funny and change the sophisticated, clean-cut Sherlock Holmes that we know to a shabby, unkempt hoarder. So I guess what Sarah said was right: "They portray him as a very Jack Sparrow-ish character."
Definitely well put. There's no one else that would be a better comparison. The sarcasm, the messiness and the I-always-get-off-scott-free attitude. It's pretty sad actually. I liked the upper-end, high class Sherlock that I've come to know.
All in all, it was a pretty good show. Crime-solving shows are always good :)
So here are some pics frm ChaoWee's cam because Yours Truly brought her cam but not her memory card :D:D:D
